70013 Ottawa / Hull (Services)

GSU Local 70013 represents the PSAC members in Accounting, Banking and Compensation (ABC) Branch, the Executive Office (Minister/Deputy Minister staff), Human Resources Branch, and Finance Branch. The majority of our members work in the Compensation Sector which directs pay and pension activities.

We provide compensation services in the area of pay and pension processing, consolidated system control, accounting / remittance and payroll general ledger accounting functions for the Regional Pay System.

Additionally, we administrate policies, legislation, and operational requests that affect pay and insurance within government departments, agencies, and Crown Corporations. This includes advisory services, application and program support, training development and delivery, maintenance of all pay and insurance related manuals and development of Compensation Pay Web Applications.

Some of our members provide pay and / or pension administration services for organizations subject to the provisions of the Public Service Superannuation Act and for members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Canadian Armed Forces.

Furthermore, we have members involved with the Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) which delivers and manages software applications on behalf of various departments; provides data centre operations, messaging systems as well as mobile and fixed communication services.
