GSU Bursary Winners

2011

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2011 have been awarded to Brock Wittevrongel, son of Marc Wittevrongel, Local 50057 RCM, Winnipeg, Manitoba and Katherine Bandet, daughter of Natasha Bandet, Local 20008, Vancouver, British Columbia.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2011 has been awarded to Pascale Laliberté-Martineau, daughter of Charles Laliberté, Local 10011, Québec, Québec.

2010

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2010 have been awarded to Colen Sherwood, son of John Koval, Local 60007 St. John, N.B. and François Pelletier, son of Jacinthe Marquis,  Local 10060 Matane, Québec.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2010 has been awarded to Amanda Martret, daughter of Romona Martret, Local 90011, St. John's, NL.

2009

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2009 have been awarded to Nicolas Gauthier, son of Silvana Quagliano, Local 10060 Matane, and Natasha Mercier, daughter of Monica Mercier, Local 70019 NCR.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2009 has been awarded to Cristina Comeau, daughter of Carmelina Comeau, Local 70015 NCR. 

2008

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2008 have been awarded to Julien Grant, son of Debbie Gallant, member of GSU Local 60018, Shediac, and Monica Belliveau, daughter of Susan Belliveau, member of GSU Local 60018, Shediac.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2008 has been awarded to Laura Little, daughter of Michelle Little, member of GSU Local 60018, Shediac.

2007

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2007 have been awarded to Alycha Reda, daughter of Luigi Reda, member of GSU Local 00026, Eastern Ontario and Emily Clare Beattie, daughter of Jerry Beattie, a member of GSU Local 70020, national capital region.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2007 has been awarded to Katherine Cornelius, daughter of Ronald Cornelius, a member of GSU Local 80052, Halifax.

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2006 have been awarded to Dillan Paradoski, son of Gordon Paradoski, member of GSU Local 50002, Manitoba and Brendan McKay, son of Brian McKay, a member of GSU Local 50002, Manitoba.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2006 has been awarded to Conrad Abbot-Shin, son of Kerry Malone, a member of GSU Local 90011, Saint John's.

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2005 have been awarded to Jennylie Gauthier, daughter of Suzanne Marquis, Matane Local 10060 and Judith Jayasuriya, daughter of Hycinth Jayasuriya, Winnipeg Local 50057.
  • The Jim Williams Memorial Bursary ($1,000.00) for the year 2005 has been awarded to Ryan Faubert, son of André Faubert, Halifax Local 80052.

  • The A.F. Wood Memorial Bursaries ($1,000.00 each) for the year 2004 have been awarded to Brittany Shuwera, daughter of Tom Shuwera, Manitoba Local 50002 and Christine Fortin, daughter of Jean-Paul Fortin of Matane Local 10060.
